Danielle Jimenez-Flores, MD, FACOG

Danielle Jimenez-Flores, M.D., FACOG, is proud and excited to be a part of the new team of all OB/GYN board certified female physicians at the Women’s Center of Excellence (WCE). Her special interests are minimal invasive gynecological surgery, women’s health issues, high risk pregnancy and other gynecological issues complement the services at WCE. Dr. Jimenez-Flores strongly adheres to applying best practice to achieve best outcomes for her patients. She allows the patient and her family to participate with the medical decision-making, as appropriate, as well as consulting with other specialist physicians when needed to create an individualized health care approach for each patient.

Originally from Houston, Dr. Jimenez-Flores is proud to call the Rio Grande Valley her home since 2004. She has been married to her husband for over 23 years and they have three children. Dr. Jimenez-Flores earned her Bachelor of Science’s Degree in Biology from the University of Houston Clear Lake. She earned her MD from the University of Texas Health Science Center(UTHSC) Medical School in Houston  and completed her specialty training at UTHSC Houston Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program at Lyndon Baines Johnson(LBJ) Hospital.

Dr. Jimenez-Flores currently serves as the Chairperson of the Excellence at Renaissance Committee. She is on the Governor’s Board of Directors at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance (DHR). She is also a member of the Medical Executive Committee at Renaissance. She also serves on the Women’s Services Committee at Woman’s Hospital at Renaissance. She is a member of the Marketing Committee Meeting at Renaissance.

Dr. Jimenez-Flores is also an Associate Professor University of Texas Health Science Center (UTHSC) San Antonio Medical School. She enjoys being able to teach medical students the skills needed to take care of OB/GYN patients. The medical students she teaches are from the UTHSC SA Regional Academic Health Center who are medical students that may also stay and serve the Rio Grande Valley’s growing health care needs.

She also participates in various community outreach programs such as the Nurse Family Partnership-Community Advisory Board. She is also a member of the Expect with me program that helps provide evidenced based healthcare to expectant mothers so that they may have a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby. She also helps do radio public health messages at 710 KURV and other radio stations in the Rio Grande valley.

Dr. Jimenez-Flores is fluent in English and Spanish and treats female patients from 2 to 100. She is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. An appointment can be made by calling 956-682-6246.
